Well, we've had gay pride and black pride, where apparently one is to be proud of simply existing as you were created (much like patriotism), but fat pride?

Our one and only, Rebel Wilson; "The Australian actress told chat show host Ellen Degeneres: "I'm proud to be the first ever plus-sized girl to be the star of a romantic comedy."

https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-46089764">//https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-46089764

She's proud to be fat, yet still get a job? Now, she can be any size she wants, but unlike gays and blacks, she is fat by choice and falls with the "Renee" class of obesity. That is no reason to be proud.

This is a woman of questionable thespian talent who gets jobs BECAUSE of, not in spite of, being of such girth that when she flies she must be seated in the exact centre of the aircraft so that it can maintain equilibrium.

This is nothing to be proud of. She is thrown into movies because some people think that pizza-fed lumps like her are funny.

If she truly wants to be proud, she should lose weight...around the same amount of lard as the body weight of an average human...and then see if she gets acting jobs. Then she can be proud that it was her talent that got her where she is, not her inability to deny an extra scoop of icecream on her dessert.

Is she a popular actress?

In her final year of high school she finished second in the state in food technology.  ac_toofunny

No clue.

If she appeared on that gab show run by a lesbian, she probably is.

I looked up some pictures of Rebel Wilson. She is larger woman, but she is far from morbidly obese.

Bricktop

But she is also far from being pride worthy.

You are nothing until you are a guest on the Ellen show.

Bricktop

I'm no celebrity...thank goodness...but I could think of NOTHING less demeaning than sitting in a studio being "interviewed" by a sycophantic nobody feeding off of everyone else's fame.

If it helps plug a movie, it's the price celebs pay.

I used to watch the Ellen show, but now I can't stand it.

Bricktop

I've never watched the Ellen show, and I can't stand it either.

In fact, I despise ALL chat shows.

I have become cynical about interview shows too.

Bricktop

I find them banal and intended to entertain people who don't have their own life.
